In the afternoon of Sept. 27, 2014, Prof. Jiahuai Han, director of Collaborative Innovation Center of Cell Biology, member of Chinese Academic of Science and Vice President of Xiamen University, came to iChEM to exchange and discuss problems and experiences during the construction of collaborative innovation center. The visitors include the Dean Shengcai Lin of the School of Life Science of XMU, the Party Secretary Guang Chen and the Vice Director Qiao Wu and Han You of State Key Laboratory of Cellular Stress Biology.

The participants of the symposium include iChEM Director Zhong-Qun Tian, Vice Director Peiqiang Huang, iChEM Secretary-General and Dean Yun-Bao Jiang of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (CCCE), Party Secretary Hui Lin of the CCCE, iChEM Prof. Haiping Xia and iChEM Prof. Nanfeng Zheng. The discussion was centered on how to cooperate among coordinating institutes, selection of staff, mechanisms of coordination, mode of talents training, integration and sharing of resources, external publicity and other aspects.

Similar exchange of experiences is particularly important for construction of collaborative innovation centers. From the year of 2013 on, USTC has provided strong support and shared valuable experiences for iChEM construction.
