In the afternoon of October 29, the all-member video conference was held at XMU for application of 2^nd round of identification of 2011-CICs. The Presidents of the iChEM Council, Professor Li Jin of the Vice President of FDU and Prof. Tao Zhang of the Director of DICP, the iChEM Council members, Prof. Nengming Jin of the Vice Presidents of XMU and Professor Changfei Zhu of the Vice President of USTC, three iChEM Directors Prof. Zhongqun Tian, Prof. Dongyuan Zhao, and Prof. Can Li, and other iChEM members attended the conference at four different locations presided by Director Can Li.

The theme of the conference is to discuss the problems we must conquer and the efforts we must make to ensure the success of the 2^nd round of identification of 2011-CICs coming in 2014 including the identification situation of the 2^nd round, organization of the application materials, and condensation of the scientific problems, etc. The agreement was finally reached that the discussion of application material preparation will be held on Nov. 2 organized by the general secretaries of the four core member institutions. In addition, the four core member institutions will make great contribution to the iChEM development as construction of key laboratories, platforms, and international collaborative laboratories.
