On September 21, a one-day conference for iChEM to prepare for the second round identification of 2011 Collaborative Innovation Center (2011-CIC) was held by the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of XMU with participation of a total of 23 members of XMU, including Prof. Nengming Jin of the Vice President of XMU, Prof. Han-Tao Zhou of the Deputy director of the Office of Science and Technology at XMU,Prof. Zhong-Qun Tian and Prof. Pei-Qiang Huang of iChEM directors, Prof. Yun-Bao Jiang of iChEM General Secretaries, and other iChEM scientists and members.

In the conference, Prof. Tian first reported recent progress and next goal of the iChEM, and then the iChEM members discussed what to do next and how to prepare application materials for preparation of the second round identification of the 2011-CIC.
