On July 20-22, 2013, the iChEM at XMU held a summer camp that aimed at expanding social influence of the iChEM, enhancing interest in chemistry for undergraduate and high school students, and further attracting excellent students to apply to the Center.

In this summer camp, a total of 115 excellent undergraduate and high school students were carefully selected from nearly 400 candidates in various universities and ten well-known high schools nationwide. Eventually, 100 participants signed a letter of intent with the iChEM to pursuit either Master or Ph.D degree in the Center. A total of 59 outstanding students were awarded for a grand recognition.

An internationally competitive scholarship, a multi-joint advisor, a credit transfer policy among the three member universities, and a selection of excellent students to the University of California, Santa Barbara and other international universities for study, all of those had a positive impact on the decision making of the students to join the center in the camp.
