On May 25, iChEM Professor Xinhe Bao and Director Zhongqun Tian were invited as Chair and member of the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) for the Co-Innovation Center of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Tianjin, one of the first batch of nationally identified 2011-CICs, to participate in the first meeting of the SAB. The main purpose of the SAB meeting is to summarize the 2011-CICs identification of the past year, and to review and discuss the future research and management of the center in order to achieve the better results in center construction after the national identification. Director Tian said after coming back from Tianjin that the successful experience of the other CICs is of great help and a model to the iChEM, and now the iChEM is becoming more confident about what needs to do for the second batch national identification.
