On January 18 of 2013, the 2012 annual National Science and Technology conference was held in Beijing. Prof. Yi Xie, Prof. Chang-zheng Wu, and Prof. Yujie Xiong at University of Science & Technology of China (USTC), are awarded the 2nd award of National Natural Science for their research work at "Inorganic Nano Functional Materials are constructed by Characterized Structure Orientation". Prof. Xie and Prof. Xiong are both research scientists in 2011-iChEM. ,
Prof. Xiong’s research is to develop inorganic nanostructures for energy and environmental applications, at the intersection of chemistry, physics and materials science.
Prof. Xie’s research is to pursue cutting-edge research at four major frontiers: nanotechnology, materials chemistry, energy science and theoretical physics. In particular, they focus on the preparation and assembly of inorganic functional nanomaterials and nanostructures.
