On January 16, 2014, the national major plan in research and development of scientific instrument and equipment, “Tunable InfraRed Laser for Fundamentals of Energy Chemistry”, organized by the iChEM Professor Shi-Gang Sun to develop the state-of-the-art instrument with participation of the four members of the iChEM, XMU, FDU, USTC, and DICP, was initiated in the National Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory of USTC. The participants in the meeting include the Deputy Director Wenping Liang of the National Science Foundation-Chemistry Division, the Vice President Xinli Zhan of the XMU, the iChEM Director Zhong-Qun Tian, Prof. Hui-Lin Wan (MCAS) of the XMU, the Dean Yun-Bao Jiang of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of XMU, and the Deputy director Ri-Quan Lai of the Science and Technology Dept. at XMU, etc.
