Prof. Yunjie Ding began his research career in the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (ACS) since 1985. He received his Ph. D in DICP in 1991, won lecturer and associate professor position in Zhejiang University in 1991-1995, and worked in Texas A&M University as a post-doc in 1995 -1998. Prof. Ding is currently the head of group in DICP for catalysis in C1 chemistry and fine chemicals.
Prof. Ding’s major research field is catalysis in syngas chemistry, petroleum chemical engineering and fine chemicals. His research focuses on modified F-T catalysts that limited carbon chain, a combination process of conventional F-T and hydroisomerization of the products obtained and C2 oxygenates synthesis, and R&D of selective hydrogenation and oxidation.
