National Human Resources and Social Security team of China recently published 2015 finalists for "Millions of Talents Project" which included two iChEM members Prof. Nanfeng Zheng of Xiamen University and Prof. Fuyou Li of Fudan University.
Prof. Nanfeng Zheng, a Cheungkong Scholar has his research interests mainly focused on the development of advanced functional materials for both fundamental research and practical applications, particularly in the fields of catalysis and biology. He has also received number of prestigious awards and positions which includes RSC young chemist award and 2007 NSFC distinguished young talent funding support as a leading scientist. He has published more than 70 papers on the all journals like Science, Nature Nanotech., Nature Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. and other international academic journals, and his research work have been highlighted in Nature, C & E News.
Professor Fuyou Li moved to Fudan University from Peking University in 2003 and promoted to be full professor in Department of Chemistry, Fudan University in 2006. Prof. Li's research interests mainly covers luminescent materials and biomaging, including Luminescent chemodosimeters/chemosensors for bioimaging, Upconversion luminescent nanomaterials and their biomedical applications, Multi-functional nanomaterials for theronastics. In recent years, he participitated in various programs like the National Outstanding Youth Science Foundation, Major national scientific research plan project, "863 Project", “New Century Excellent Talents" program and so on.
“Millions of Talents Project” was proposed by the Ministry of Personnel in July 1994,and in 1995 jointly organized by the Ministry of Personnel, Ministry of Science, Education and other seven ministries in the nationwide implementation, to further strengthen high-level professional and technical personnel building, accelerate and cultivate the younger generation academic and technological leaders. Inductees will also be awarded the "national outstanding contributions of young expert" title.
