Prof. Yong-Gang Wang, iChEM researcher from Fudan University is awarded to the China Lithium Youth Prize for Scientific Research during China Lithium Battery Industry and Technology Summit Forum and the 8^th China Lithium Battery (International) Forum which was held on April 8-12, 2016, Shenzhen, China. This prize is also awarded to Dr. Yong-Gao Xia, the researcher from Ningbo Institute of Industry Technology, CAS and Dr. Rui-Juan Xiao from Institute of Physics, CAS. The two forums are the highest level and the largest scale meeting in the field of China lithium battery relative academic research and industry development. The awards committee includes the well-known scholars and experts from international and domestic academic research institutes and enterprises.

Reason for award: Dr. Yong-Gang Wang made a series of creative achievements in the water system lithium ion battery, sodium ion battery, lithium air battery, super capacitor, etc. and also a new type water system sodium-ion battery, which act quickly in dynamics, charge fast, and is safe and environmental with 50,000 circle life. The related research result is published in Science Advance 2016, which receives the wide attention from all over the world. Dr. Yong-Gang Wang has published 85 papers totally being cited for more than 3,500 times, personal H-index 33, applied 12 patents, which includes 3 PCT international patents and 8 authorized patents. Some of his research results are at the stage of industrialization on research and commercialization market development. In 2014, he won the prize of Applied Electrotechnical Chemistry of International Electrotechnical Commission.
