On January 30 of 2016, the discussion meeting of the project of "Development Strategy of Energy Chemistry Discipline" that carried out by the joint leading group of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), launched at XMU. The meeting was presided by one of the project leaders, Prof. Zhong-Qun Tian, and attended by more than 40 experts and graduate students from DICP, Institute of Chemistry of CAS, Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology of CAS, USTC, Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics of CAS, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, FDU, Tianjin University, Nankai University and XMU, etc.
Prof. Tian introduced the project including the goal, the requirement, and the organization and progress, etc. The participants discussed on the first draft of "Development Strategy of Energy Chemistry Discipline" and the content of the energy chemistry discipline, including the details of each chapter.
The meeting finally confirmed that the specific implementation of this project should include seven subjects as carbon-based energy chemistry and electrical energy chemistry, etc. Meantime, it also clarified the participated group members and their research directions as well as the tasks of next stage and timeline.
