China's National Science and Technology Awards ceremony was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Jan. 8, 2016. President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang and other top leaders attended the ceremony and congratulated the winners of National Natural Science Award, National Technological Invention Award, National Science and Technology Progress Award, and International Science and Technology Cooperation Award.

iChEM researchers, Professors Su-Yuan Xie, Lan-Sun Zheng, Yuanzhi Tan, Xin Lu, and Rongbin Huang of Xiamen University’s project “Synthesis of New Fullerene” obtained the Second Prize of National Natural Science Award; Professors Huamin Zhang, Xianfeng Li and Jian Chen of DICP’s project “Vanadium Redox Flow Battery Energy Storage Technology and its Application” obtained the Second Prize of National Technological Invention Award.
