Prof. Xinhe Bao was elected Honorary Fellow of RSC

Recently, the Royal Society of Chemistry announced the name list of Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry elected in 2016, among them Prof. Xinhe Bao, iChEM Chief Scientist from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics and Fudan University was included. Prof. Bao was elected for his great contribution to the research and development of new catalysts and research on efficient energy conversion process, and he is the second Chinese scientist awarded for this honor after the first one Academician Chunli Bai was elected in 2007.

According to the Royal Society of Chemistry, an honorary fellow may have contributed significantly to the chemical sciences generally or to the work of the RSC in a number of ways and the Panel will review the nominations based on the merits of the candidate that is deemed to cross the broad spectrum of advancing the chemical sciences. The total number of Honorary Fellows shall not at any time exceed one hundred and twenty.
