任志勇博士于2013年被北京计算科学研究中心引进为特聘研究员,同年获得国家自然科学基金委的“优秀青年科学基金”。2004年在香港大学化学系陈冠华教授课题组获得博士学位,然后于德国不莱梅大学Thomas Frauenheim课题组从事博士后研究,之后回香港大学参与Area Of Excellence:theory, modeling, and simulation of emerging electronics 项目的研究。任志勇博士的主要研究方向为线性标度DFT计算方法开发,量子输运以及纳米电子器件的模拟方法开发,以及QM/EM多尺度模拟算法研究。目前发表的代表论文有:
